Mavic Haute Route Rockies
We are excited to announce our program for the 2017 Mavic Haute Route Rockies Cyclosportive!
Beginning on June 24 in Boulder, Colorado, riders will begin a seven-day cycling odyssey over some of the most challenging passes and through the stunning scenery of the majestic Rocky Mountains before arriving into Colorado Springs and the "Garden of the Gods!" As an "Official Tour Operator" for the Haute Route Series, we feel that the 2017 Mavic Haute Route Rockies offers cyclists the unique opportunity to ride many of the famed roads of the Coors Classic and the US Pro Challenge in an authentic stage-race format set amidst the awe-inspiring scenery that will be both challenging and fulfilling!
During the course of the week, cyclists will ride 507 miles (815 km) over 7 consecutive timed stages that will feature more than 15,000 meters of climbing over 16 celebrated passes! Among the classic ascents are Independence Pass, Kebler Pass and Berthoud Pass, all of which are above 3,000 meters. The climbs are generally not as steep as typically found in the European Haute Route events and 20% of the distance will consist of hard packed dirt roads. Each day, rider classifications and overall times are posted along with leader jersey presentations, team prizes, and full professional on-road support from Mavic.
At Velo Echappe', our goal is to provide you with the very best Haute Route experience! To achieve that, you can look forward to luxury hotels (examples include the St. Julian in Boulder and the Hyatt Regency in Beaver Creek), private mechanics, private masseuses, personalized services at the feed zones, all breakfasts and most dinners, route guidance and assistance, and the caring concern of a staff dedicated to making your dreams come true!
