Afterwards, you'll feel the presence of past champions such as Merckx, Lemond, and Armstrong as you challenge yourself on the serpentine climb of Luz Ardiden! Savor the views at the summit before descending back to our hotel where we'll enjoy our group dinner of regional specialties this evening.

July 18 - Col du Tourmalet / France Pro Tour Stage 16.
Due to our hotel location, we are in the perfect place for the "Queen Stage" of the 2012 France Pro Tour as the pros race over the "cols" of Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin and finally the Peyresourde. Following breakfast, you will ride the "beyond category" Col du Tourmalet before rewarding yourself with the magnificent views from the summit! This afternoon, you'll cheer on your favorites as they race over this epic climb! This evening, we'll celebrate the day and the Tour de France with a festive group dinner.

This evening, we'll celebrate your ride on the legendary roads of the France during our group dinner.

July 20 - The Ascents, or "Montees," of Hautacam and Cauterets / Pont Espagne.
Today's ride is dedicated to two of the greatest Tour de France champions in modern history, Lance Armstrong and Miguel Indurain! We'll begin the day with the "montee" of Hautacam, the climb where Lance dropped Marco Pantani in a rainy, epic stage during the 2000 Tour de France and where he essentially won that year's race. Afterwards, we'll follow the wheel of a young Miguel Indurain as we ride to Cauterets and the Pont Espagne, the sight where he won a stage of the Tour in 1989 and gave the world a glimpse of what was to come, namely, five Tour de France victories in-a-row! We'll celebrate our week in the heart of the Pyrenees with a final group dinner this evening!
