STRADE BIANCHE CYCLING VACATION

Itinerary:

March 1: Welcome to Tuscany! / Transfer to Siena.
We will meet you at 11am at the Pisa Airport where we will welcome you and load up your bike and luggage for the transfer to Siena. Following our arrival at the beautiful four-star Certosa di Maggiano, check-in for the next four nights before assembling your bike with the assistance of our professional mechanics. Afterwards, go for a warm-up spin in the Tuscan countryside before enjoying some cocktails before our “Welcome Meeting / Dinner” at the hotel.

March 2: The Crete Senesi!
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast and a cappuccino overlooking the Tuscan countryside before getting ready for one of the best rides of your life - the Crete Senesi! Lined with medieval hilltop villas and ancient cypress trees, this is like “Disneyland” for a cyclist! Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing massage at the hotel (your own expense) before getting ready to explore the trattorias of Siena this evening for dinner!

March 3: Chianti Classico Tour / Strade Bianche Registration
Our morning ride will see us venture north into the vineyards and forests of the world-famous Chianti Classico wine country. Home to some of Italy’s most famed vintages and wineries, we’ll stop at one of our favorites for a sample. Upon our return to our villa hotel, enjoy lunch before registering for Sunday’s Strade Bianche Sportive! Be sure and save room for souvenirs! This evening, we’ll enjoy a special chef-prepared group dinner.

March 4: 2023 Strade Bianche Men’s Professional Race!
Get ready to cheer on your favorite professional cyclists at what has become one of the highlights of the year in professional cycling - the Strade Bianche! We’ll witness the race at various destinations throughout the day as the pro’s race over the white gravel roads of Tuscany! This evening, we’ll toast the champion and fuel-up for our edition of Strade Bianche tomorrow!

March 5: The Gran Fondo Strade Bianche!
Today is your opportunity to test yourself on the famed gravel roads of Bella Toscana during the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche! The route is as beautiful as it is challenging! After the final ascent up the challenging Via Santa Caterina in the center of Siena, you’ll experience on the greatest finish lines in all of sport - the Piazza del Campo! This afternoon, relax at our villa while savoring the week and all of the adventures we’ve enjoyed together during the past week. This evening, we’ll finish off your Tuscany tour with our “Farewell Dinner.”

March 6: Transfers.
After breakfast and a final cappuccino at the villa, we’ll organize transfers to the Pisa Airport. Estimated time of arrival into the Pisa Airport is 12 noon. If you drove your car to the villa, your trip will conclude with check-out at 12 noon.
