TUSCANY LUXURY CYCLING VACATION

Itinerary:

Day One: Welcome to Tuscany and San Casciano dei Bagni
Following our meeting at the Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport at 11 am, we'll transfer you to the village of San Casciano dei Bagni in the south of Tuscany and our five-star hotel, the Fonteverde Thermal Retreat! Following check-in for the next two nights, our professional mechanics will assist you with building up your road bike or fine tuning your rental bike. Afterwards, enjoy a short spin in the nearby Tuscan countryside or relax in the thermal waters of the hotel. This evening, we'll enjoy a delicious "Welcome Meeting and Dinner” at our hotel.

Day Two: Montepulciano/Pienza Loop
Enjoy a full Tuscan breakfast and a cappuccino before heading to two of the most beautiful villages in all of Italy, Montepulciano and Pienza! Home to some of the most famous wine in Italy, the village of Montepulciano also boasts some of the finest views in all of Tuscany. Following lunch in Pienza, you can enjoy the ride back to the hotel or get a lift in the sag van. This afternoon, relax in the thermal waters at Fonteverde before exploring the local trattorias for dinner on your own.

Day Three: San Casciano dei Bagni to Castelnuovo Berardenga
Following breakfast, relax with a short van transfer into the Val d’Orcia and the village of Bagno Vignoni, our starting point for today’s ride. From here, we’ll ride through the stunning Crete Senesi region and on the quiet backroads of the Siena hills before arriving into the famed Chianti region and the village of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Check-in for the next three nights at the five-star Borgo San Felice, a Relais and Chateaux beauty, before enjoying a chef-prepared group dinner at the hotel.

Day Four: Chianti Ride / Lunch and Wine Tasting at Brolio Castle
Savor breakfast at the Borgo before getting ready to ride into the heart of Siena for our cappuccino stop in the Piazza del Campo! Afterwards, we’ll explore this remarkable Renaissance town before cycling to Castellina-in-Chianti and Radda-in-Chianti. This afternoon, enjoy lunch and a wine tasting at the spectacular Brolio Castle! This estate has belonged to the Ricasoli Family for over 800 years and features some of the most views in Chianti. Following our return to the Borgo, relax in the outdoor pool or enjoy a massage before exploring the local restaurants of Castelnuovo Berardenga for dinner on your own.

Day Five: Chianti Discovery
Our final day together will see us ride through ancient forests and past famous vineyards to the charming villages of Lecchi-in-Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti! During our ride, we’ll enjoy a quiet picnic lunch overlooking the Tuscan countryside before cycling back to our hotel. This evening, we’ll conclude our week together with an unforgettable “Farewell Dinner” at the Borgo!

Day Six: Final Spin and Transfers
Enjoy a final morning spin to Sestano before being transferred to the airport in Florence for your return flight home or extend your trip in Europe. Estimated arrival time is 12 noon. Thus, please do not make any flights earlier than 4 pm.
