Itinerary

Day 1: Ciao Toscana! / Siena Ride and Welcome Dinner
We will meet you at the Siena Train Station at 12 noon and transfer you to the beautiful Certosa di Maggiano, a gorgeous Relais and Chateaux property just outside town. Following your arrival, we will adjust your gravel rental bike or help you assemble your own bike before checking-in. Afterwards, we’ll set off on a short, warmup ride through the Tuscan countryside before enjoying our “Welcome Meeting and Dinner” this evening at the luxury villa! Buon Appetito!

Day 2: Siena to Bagno Vignoni
Enjoy a full breakfast overlooking the Tuscan hills before cycling through one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world - the Val d’Orcia! Along the way, we’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch overlooking the rolling hills lined with cypress trees and medieval villas. This afternoon, following our ride, check-in to the four-star Hotel Posta Marcucci and treat yourself to a soothing dip in the famous thermal waters of Bagno Vignoni. This evening, explore the various local “trattorias” with their organic, homemade cuisine where you can fuel up for tomorrow and enjoy a glass of wine from the local vineyards!

Day 3: Bagno Vignoni to Proceno
Start your day with a morning dip in the pool and a delicious breakfast before heading out for an unforgettable ride through the dramatic landscape of the Val d’Orcia before entering the Lazio region of Italy. We’ll cycle to the foot of the Volsini Mountains and the charming village of Proceno. Following our arrival, we’ll check-in to the four-star Castle Proceno, a real medieval castle that goes back to 1000 AD! The property offers comfortable rooms along with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. This evening, we’ll enjoy a relaxing group dinner inside the castle to finish off a truly memorable day

Day 4: Proceno to Lago di Vico
Savor breakfast in the castle before heading out on the longest ride of the tour as we make our way to Lago di Vico, one of the highest major lakes in Italy. Our route for today takes us through the heart of Tuscia and its enchanting capital, Viterbo. After arriving on the shores of Lago di Vico, check-in to our three-star hotel before refueling with a dinner from one of the numerous nearby restaurants.

Day 5: Lago di Vico to Rome
Today marks the final leg of our gravel bike tour as we finish along the paths that have joined Canterbury to Rome for centuries! Along the way, we’ll ride through forests of chestnut trees and ancient villages that date back to the ancient Etruscans! Following our arrival into Rome, we’ll pedal past the Vatican on our way to our elegant three-star hotel in the city center! Following check-in, we’ll celebrate our week’s adventure with a festive “Farewell Dinner” in the heart of Rome!

Day 6: Transfer Day or Extend Your Stay in Rome
Relax with breakfast before transferring to the Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumcino International Airport or extend your vacation in Rome for a few extra days. If you would like to extend your trip, please let us know and we will help you arrange that.
